| The Vine @ E! Online Broadband Flash Video Player  VIDEO / FLASH The Vine @ E! Online is an on-demand broadband network that launched in early 2006. E! wanted to mimic the TV experience, and by adopting the Flash Platform we created an amazingly simple and rapid-loading experience that can be enjoyed by almost anyone in the world with a broadband connection. Using the flexible power of ActionScript 2, we were able to code the player to provide precisely the behaviors that E! desired. When one segment ends, another immediately begins - Users can interrupt a segment to demand new content, but in the absence of further input the player always loads more content. ActionScript also enabled us to deliver complete ad system integration – for both video ads and accompanying banners - as well as easily customizable skins for each channel. Working with Almer/Blank and the E! Online creative and web development teams, we launched The Vine @ E! Online, one of the largest and most robust mass consumer implementations of Flash video ever created. |
