1. My house This is my home of the past 7 years where I spend all my quality time. Usually I'm in my room because my house is full of the loud and sometimes obnoxious people I love. My 23 year old cousin, Shimika, lives in one of the apartments downstairs. I have an older _ sister and don't talk to her much so Shimikas like my sister. We go everywhere and do everything together. From shopping to finding her a date. It's a good neighborhood except for when the gang activity gets out of control. Several people have been shot and some have been killed on the corner down the street from my house. I try to avoid that corner as much as possible by going to the store across the street instead of the liquor store. Other than that its pretty cool. 2. My friend Quiannas house This is like my weekend getaway, a vacation spot around the corner. I've spent many weekends here and know everyone on the block. I like it here because I don't have to deal with my family and pretty much get to do whatever I want. Plus its right down the street from the mall and movie theater. I hadn't been spending much time here because she stopped talking to me over some stupid guy and didn't want to here my side of the story. It started when we met this guy (who shall remain nameless) that checked into our 1st period. They got hooked up by one of our friends and started talking. About 2 weeks after they started talking she somehow got the impression they went together and even thought about sleeping with him. Time passed on and he started paying more attention to me than to her. She'd call and tell me how he talked about me all day long and say how I looked like his ex-girlfriend. When he'd see me at school I was always with this other guy. He'd assume we went together and ask where my boyfriend was. One day I was walking with the guy he assumed was my boyfriend and the guy asked me to call him. I paid him no attention and kept walking . Halfway home he pulled up in his car and offered me a ride home. I called Quianna and told her what happened. Everything was cool till the next day. Quianna came to school crying and wouldn't talk to me. She didn't talk to me for 3 weeks despite my efforts to explain that I wanted nothing to do with him. He told her that they never went together and that he didn't like her either. We went on a trip to the Museum of Tolerance and he tried to put the moves on me in front of everybody even though he had previously talked to one of my good friends. Everybody assumed I liked him (which I don't). The whole school knew about the situation. Everyday people I didn't even know would come to me and ask if we went together. I tried several times to talk to her about it but she wouldn't listen. Finally in 6th period a group of our friends brought everyone that had something to do with it together at one table and we all talked it over. She said we were cool but still kept her distance. She didn't talk to me for aout another 2 weeks, while the guy is still to this day trying to make something of me and him. We gradually started talking again but aren't as close as we used to be. But things worked out and everything is pretty much back to normal. 3. Angeles Mesa Library The library might sound like a pretty boring place, but not this one. I used to come here practically everyday after school and have study groups to do homework and study for tests. Other than homework there was a really cute guy who worked here and liked my cousin, but for some strange reason she turned down every date, party, or get together he invited us to. He doesn't work here any- more after 8 years and its just a bunch of little kids hanging out here so I only come when I have to. 4. Fox Hills Mall Basically everything I buy comes from here. They have my favorite store Forever21 and my second favorite Charlotte Russe. I like to dress in skirts and heels most of the time which is why I shop here. On the weekends everyone from all the major high schools are here so you meet a lot of new people. The food court is where all the guys stand to scope girls. So if your looking for a date the food court is the place to be. 5. Margaritas (Mexican Restaraunt) Margaritas is like the Peach Pit of 90210. Many Crenshaw students go here for lunch or after school. The food is great and taste just like homemade (even better). I love it so much because the inside looks like a house. It reminds me of eating dinner at home with my family. The dining area is like an actual dining room. From the furniture to the wallpaper, it makes you feel right at home. For my 15th birthday my friends threw me a birthday party here. We had a lot of fun and played oldies on the jukebox the whole time. The evening ended with me walking home in four inch heels carrying a cake, balloons and my backpack full of books. |
